    1. Boy, oh boy, was this one a mistake Very amateur writing Stilted, unrealistic dialogue, purple prose, a shaky plot, bad pacing, and TSTL characters It s also one of those annoying books that keeps asking the readers questions On one page, I counted 11 questions posed to the reader Yes, 11 I don t know why so many authors do this, if it s something they learned in some defunct writing class, but I really, really wish it would stop The reader doesn t know the answer to any of these questions, dear [...]

    2. Perils of PaulineThe only thing the heroine didn t have done to her was a villain tying her to the railroad tracksCome on Enough is enough with the traumatic experiences in just over a few weeks period of time I just couldnt buy into the continuous mindless attacks on the poor free market whose last life was tragic and now a neverending crisis Could have been a good book if the writer hadn t have gone so overboard with the drama

    3. I really did enjoy this book It was a breath of fresh air from the predictable plot of many books place in this time period A bit of romance, violence, and the drive By drive I mean that I read this book in literally one day and night I wish it was part of a series The main woman character is not some stupid little female from a good family and the main male is not a idiot ruled by his other head It was a breath of fresh air, like I said, considering historical romance novels I loved this book, [...]

    4. I really like this story alot It had all the elements i enjoy in a story it had romance, it had lots of beautiful descriptions and it had life lessons alot of people have had to learn and ones should I love how strong Sara was and yet quiet and ladylike as well I also enjoyed how she put the duke in his place when he thought he was so much better and deserved so much this was a great womens story

    5. Great book love the time period was a little shaky at first poor sat had so many problems but the duke came through for her can t wait to see what will happen in the next book with graham would highly recommend reading

    6. I m absolutely certain I would have never survived the 1800 sI am way too outspoken However, this book shows the backbone of a woman who lost her standing among the upper class when her husband left her for another woman Since he wasn t much to brag about, she really didn t miss him It was, however, another story for how she was to support herself She loved too design dressesd was an excellent seamstress her dress shop came to be The ton could look down on her if they wanted to, but they still l [...]

    7. I didn t really enjoy this book though I usually love this kind of theme I think it was because of the writing There was quite a lot of unnecessary talking or description, it made the sequence kind of awkward Oh And the language was so modern, it was weird

    8. probably 2 starsi don t know why i kept reading, but the prologue hooked me then, came the rest of the novel was way too fast paced the language was NOT of regency england it was so modern plus, whenever there was dialogue, the characters would speak 3 4 sentences at a time it seemed like a big run on sentence the hero, while sexy, was pretty shallow he was short on temper and ranted about his ex wife who spoiled him for other womene heroine was TSTL at times she kept putting herself in ridiculo [...]

    9. This is the third book I ve read by Keira Montclair and I loved it She has a way of starting her books off right from the beginning Phillip, who is the hero, is a wronged husband and Sara heroin is a widow and wronged wife Their spouses have ran off together Sara s husband is found out to be dead but Phillip s wife doesn t show up until later in the story I liked how the story just plunged right along and some feel it is kinda dramatic but I liked that about the book and I liked the couple toget [...]

    10. Another excellent start to a fantastic series I absolutely enjoy the way Keira Montclair writes her stories I love the innocence and beauty of the heroine Her books always bring tears to my eyes and I really love the delicious sense of humor the characters have I highly recommend this excellent piece of work to all readers of diverse genre If you re a fan of her Grant Series, I promise the St James will not disappoint

    11. Awesome Read So much tragedy has befallen Sara and when she meets Philip, The Duke whose wife fled with her husband tragedy strikes She has to overcome her husbands deception, blackmail, being harmed and kidnapped But with the love and help from the Duke is her only way A wonderful read with a great ending

    12. I liked this story but ultimately felt there was too much violence focused on the heroine Every time she was beat up detracted from the story at hand which was a good one Keira Montclair writes well, her books are full of action, passion and interesting plot twist, this work did not disappoint in that respect If you can get past the heroine s constant state of injury this is a good read.

    13. What a great read I really enjoyed the story line As usual a man makes assumptions about a hard working women who wants to make it on her own He thinks taking care if her by sitting her up in a house and give her Jewels is what she wants But who wants to be the mistress when your aiming for true love.

    14. Wonderful love storyWonderful love story of love and hardship She is a dressmaker and he is a duke They together lost their spouses to each other s spouses And when they met for first time sparks flew Read on for .

    15. Great storyI thought this was an Incredible story with all the danger keeping them apart and finally able to come together into joining their lives and future after all they had gone thru

    16. I enjoyed the story line Some of the dialogue seemed unnatural, but the story itself was fast paced enough that I could overlook it If you are a fast reader this is just long enough Plus it is a Kindle Unlimited title.

    17. Wish she d continue with the seriesGreat story Just wish Keira would have continued with the series Sara has been through so much and you just feel awful for her but so glad everything got sorted out

    18. ExcellentJust love a second chance love story She tells it so well I will be reading the rest of this saga.

    19. Lovely read I very much enjoyed this story The only thing that seemed harsh was what the poor girl had to go through Still, a lovely read.

    20. ExcellentInteresting from page 1 until the last page The plot was great and held very few dull moments I can t wait to read book 2 and from this series.
