    1. An absolutely gorgeous book, the pictures are beautiful and amazing What intricate nests, all manner of creatures create I turned and read each page with a sense of awe.

    2. Beautiful photographs abound The text sections were terse and didn t offer much any insight into animal architecture A little short for my taste, left me wanting , in either text or photo content.

    3. This is one of my absolute favorite books Of All Time. The photography is absolutely stunning, and the short amounts of text beautifully explain some of the science and biology of the animals while using elegantly big words like cnidarians and coelenterates both meaning animals in the family with jellyfish and corals I love this book.

    4. The photographs were beautiful however, I was disappointed in the text It was not very informative and lacked the details which could have made it interesting.

    5. I didn t quite know what this book would include when I reserved it at my library I had just watched a PBS documentary showcasing the Bowerbird I assumed it would be something along those lines The photographer was spectacular, but I was hoping for a few photos There are tons architectural amazement out there from all sorts of animals I remember seeing from the documentary, for which this book has nothing to do with However, it was one photographer doing all of this work, so I completely unde [...]

    6. I m endlessly fascinated by the natural world all those plants, animals and fungi just going about their business, being what they are and mostly almost totally completely unaware of us.This lovely and lovingly created book is a delight for people like me.The text is interesting and well written, but what makes it leap into a favoured, must buy for myself one day status is the remarkable photography. The clarity and precision of the visuals are extraordinary I know, you d expect them to be pretty [...]

    7. A fascinating book of nature photography Ingo Arnt photographed bird nests, beaver lodges, termite mounds, corals and other non human architecture Some photographs showcase creations on stark black backgrounds a single caddisfly casing, a delicate hummingbird nest while others show them in situ bowerbird bowers with neatly sorted colorful treasures, fields scattered with termite mounds like standing stones You cannot leaf through this book without marveling at nature.I used this book with kinder [...]

    8. A fascinating book filled with amazing images really amazing, not Facebook amazing of the homes created by animals of many types The book has four chapters on the architecture of various types of animals Birds Articulates insects and the like Mammals and Corals, Bivalves, Snails A fifth chapter gives some brief notes on how the author took these outstanding pictures. It was a very enlightening experience to be shown the complexity and ingenuity of design by creatures we humans think of as simple [...]

    9. Thus book is beautifully illustrated and covers a topic that needs coverage The reader is amazed at this reminder of what animals can construct The photos overwhelm the text as they are intended to do, so you will have to look elsewhere for details about the lives of these animal architects which include, among others, birds, termites, and beavers The photographer went to extraordinary extremes to get these exquisite photos, which makes the book unique compared to most photo books about animals [...]

    10. After I purchased this I rushed home and sat with it for hours It is a beautiful object cataloging beautiful things The photography of harvest mice homes, and weaver s nests, of bowerbird s bowers, and termite mounds, and caddis fly cases will make you question your weak human aesthetics These creatures have it going on Aesthetically amazing Next, I went on ebay and purchased myself a wentletrap shell.

    11. This is a beautiful book, presenting animal nests, homes, and shells presented and photographed in the way of great pieces of art. These images once again made me think about how many people see nature as just a roiling, unimportant mass, worthwhile only as a resource for humans These people must be completely mentally ill.

    12. Gorgeous photography accompanied by mostly small paragraphs describing what you re seeing What you are seeing is the homes built by birds, bugs, mammals, sea life Highly enjoyed by both myself my boys.

    13. Great photography of some of the most fantastic architecture constructed by animals from bivalves to beavers.

    14. 5 for photographs though I struggled to understand the scale of many structures and 3 for text presentation content.
