    1. After an absence of 19 years, John Lester returns to the home in which he grew up and is hit by a feeling of foreboding as he stands in the shadow of the old home place It would be fair to say that his childhood memories are not intact Will reading his deceased father s journal help put the pieces back together Are there still monsters lurking in the closet Should the basement be avoided Quick read and a fantastic ending.

    2. Welcome Home by William Hage is one of those short reads that manages to satisfy that need to read thing Page One John Lester is standing outside his family home, that he has avoided for many years He has always hated that house, because there was something evil and almost alive about it, so why was it left to him in his father s will John vaguely remembers what horrors took place within its walls at the hands of his father, a doctor He finds his father s journal, and its shocking contents As he [...]

    3. From the very beginning, this story has a creepy element that sits with you, making you want to look over your shoulder as you read It s the good old haunted house story, except it ends with a twist There were subtle nuances, character traits, and actions through the book that seemed to hint at what was coming or at least that not all is as it seems Those haunted figures you re looking over your shoulder trying to find, might not who or what you imagined. My only complaint would be the editing of [...]

    4. Welcome Home A Short Story by William HageWant a great read for Halloween Short on time Grab Welcome home it s a short story that packs a punch, it has twists, it s creepy, leaves you wanting in a good way It is hard to leave a review without giving away anything crucial to the plot I really, really enjoyed Welcome Home I received this book from the author for an honest review.

    5. John visits his old family home after it is left to him upon the death of his father When John discovers his father s journal, he begins to wonder what evil his father was up to all those years And why can t John remember what happened in that house Then, a friendly visit from his neighbors, Lisa and Michael, forces John to confront the truth about his family As his father used to say, Sanity is not a choice But if you were insane, would you know The fantastic cover was designed by the author s [...]

    6. As the title states Welcome Home is a short story, it concerns John Lester returning home after his father s death There he discovers things were much darker than his memories had indicated It s an excellent short story, well written and has a real sense of dread about it.I can t help but feel that the story deserved a bit development and space It s based on an excellent premise and building up to the conclusion which I didn t guess, so kudos to the author would have made for a better story. But [...]

    7. I like it when I go into a book thinking I m getting one thing, and I get something totally different This happened when I began reading Welcome Home I thought it was going to be a haunted house story. The story is haunting but there are no actual ghosts What s there is something shadowing John Lester It s like when you see something out of the corner of your eye and when you turn to look, nothing is there But this isn t visual so much as it s memories They haunt his sleep, staying just out of re [...]

    8. I really have to say I enjoyed this short spooky story. It s well written, gives you just enough detail doesn t give away the story.I just think it could have ended a bit better The ending was left open. This I believe should be turned into a entire book it would be a great read.I gave it a 4 star because of the unfinished feeling I got a the end, otherwise a good read.I was given this for a honest review.you can check out further reviews on books I ve read at thereaderhaven.wordpress and readinre [...]

    9. I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for an honest review.A short story with several plot twists Saying too much would give the story away, so I ll sum up my review like this John Lester returns home after many years, a home he hates He finds a journal in his father s study and begins to discover things that he does not want to know about himself, his father, and the house.A gripping story and a quick read Wonderfully done.

    10. Loved loved loved this crazy thrilling short story From the first word I was sucked in I cant belive its so short I could definitely use of this one

    11. This story started well, though being terrified out of my wits isn t usually my choice Since I was reading it, when I was feeling nicely hooked, and suitably shivery, up rolled a neighbour and ruined the atmosphere I did read on but it was never recaptured.

    12. Well made for the first story from this author I did like the ending, despite it being a bit predictable Also, the tone shifted very fast but to be expected in such a short story Overall, fun horror read.

    13. I liked how it started and I was caught up in it pretty quickly, but the ending was confusing It really didn t explain anything.
